Hanging at Mossman Hall

We have a new outstanding exhibit at Mossman Hall in Melrose. What a wonderful arts community they have there. It’s like everyone in town appreciates fine art, music, crafts, etc. The town itself is small but has a big heart and lots of history. So many beautiful homes that would make delightful paintings. Looking forward to the reception November 2nd 5-9pm.

FCPAP Paints Little Talbot Island
Friday and Saturday, April 13th and 14th.  8:00 am till whenever.
With more than five miles of beautiful, white sandy beaches, Little Talbot Island is one of the few remaining undeveloped barrier islands in Northeast Florida. Maritime forests, desert-like dunes and undisturbed salt marshes on the western side of the island allow for hours of nature study and relaxation. The diverse habitats in the park host a wealth of wildlife for viewing, including river otters, marsh rabbits, bobcats and a variety of native and migratory birds.
Directions: Exit I-295 on to Heckscher Drive (SR A1A) Eastbound. It’s about 10-12 miles to the entrance of the park, which will be on the right. Do not confuse with Hugenot Park which is before the Fort George Inlet Bridge. The entrance to Little Talbot is about 1/2 mile-1mile past the Bridge on the right. Nice dunes and beach access at the first parking area past the entry gate. There is another parking area where the park road ends. It also offers access to beach and dunes. There is also a nice wooded trail where you first enter the gate before getting to the guard station. Parking for the trail is just past the guard station on the left. No facilities on the trail.
Park hours are 8:00 am till sunset. $5.00 per carload (2-8 people). $4.00 per car with single occupant (per website)
