Our mission to help promote members, awareness of ongoing painting events, develop growth and support in our communities, encourage future artist to learn and understand the visual arts, connect with Artist who will be supportive and knowledgeable in visual arts, participate in annual exhibitions, informative workshops, and encourage over all growth and development.
ABOUT: JCVA is a unique organization. We are dedicated to the promotion and development of established as well as emerging artists. Our members represent a wide variety of ages, specialties & experience. We currently sponsor four juried exhibitions a year, at various venues on the First Coast. Once you join the membership you are guaranteed to gain entrance into the exhibitions. Many of our members have actively participated in JCVA and won multiple awards. You may like to consider becoming a member to JCVA. This is a non profit organization.

Native to Chicago, Carron Wedlund attended Roosevelt University & Northern Illinois University major: Graphic Design. Later she earned her BFA degree from the University of North Florida. For many years she worked in the commercial in layout design for print media, corporate identity, and presentation graphics . 2004 became a member of Art Guild of Orange Park, then First Coast Pastel Society, Jacksonville Artist Guild, and First Coast Plein Aire Painters. She has worked in watercolor and acrylics but the medium she captivated with is pastel. Influenced by Richard Adams, Hercel Stallard, Donna Grasso, Lyn Asselta and Jeanne Pellegrino.
Carron exhibited at several venues in Clay County and in Jacksonville, FL. Exhibition Record includes: solo show, Orange Park Library, Jewish Community Alliance, and frequently exhibits her Pastel drawings through local visual art groups. Carron was honored to receive the title of Senior Female Volunteer of the Year for 2012 by the Clay County Council on Aging. Carron continues to be involved in volunteer activities that bring art to the community.

Marilyn Antram: Ohio-born artist and design major at Ohio State University, She has had the good fortune to be able to spend her early years in the vibrant, creative arena of American Greetings Inc., Cleveland, OH. After her employment with American Greetings Inc. she perused longevity career as a freelance designer and graphic designer. She felt the calling to leave the commercial aspect of art and pursue one in fine arts. Having done extensive illustration during her career, drawing wasn’t a issue, so she consulted with some of Jacksonville’s well known artists and began her future in Fine Arts. Marilyn Antram has found it to be a rewarding decision for her, both professionally and personally. The learning continues by interacting with many artistic and talented professionals in Jacksonville, participating in workshops, attending shows, galleries, and the opportunity to continue as a dedicated painter. She is currently both a member and treasurer for, First Coast Plein Air Painters, Jacksonville Artists Guild, St. Augustine Art Association, and Pines and Palms Artists in Thomasville, GA.

Fine Art graduate from University of North Florida, Keith’s original paintings were primarily plein air, landscapes and cityscapes. After an illness and breakdown he has emerged as more of an abstract artist, free from limitations in his life and his art.
