11th Annual

“A Brush with Nature”

May 13 – 15 2022

Event Time: Friday and Saturday 8AM – 5pm Sunday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

What is this event?

“A Brush with Nature” is a large publicized event. The event is FCPAP’s way to give back to the community. This is a large fundraiser for Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens exclusive to First Coast Plein Air Painters. There are food trucks, live music, plant sales and kids activities.

How do we give back?

We paint on location throughout the weekend of the event as the visitors enjoy viewing the works in progress. Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a place to paint and explore year round.  Throughout the year, artist paint there en plein air in preparation for this big event. The trails and lake are lined with award winning trees, flowers and unique species of plants which lend to excellent opportunities for landscapes. Plan to paint en plain air throughout the weekend.

Artist bring up to 4 paintings at the beginning of the event. The sale of a painting allows artists to replace that piece with another at no additional cost after the first four have been paid for. The sales are excellent as this is well advertised as a fundraiser. The tent is manned by FCPAP volunteers.  Your participation in the event  and as a volunteer is appreciated.

The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens receives 40% of every sale.
