Native to Chicago, Carron Wedlund attended Roosevelt University & Northern Illinois University major: Graphic Design. Later she earned her BFA degree from the University of North Florida. For many years she worked in the commercial in layout design for print media, corporate identity, and presentation graphics .
2004 became a member of Art Guild of Orange Park, then First Coast Pastel Society, Jacksonville Artist Guild, and First Coast Plein Aire Painters. She has worked in watercolor and acrylics but the medium she captivated with is pastel.
Influenced by Richard Adams, Hercel Stallard, Donna Grasso, Lyn Asselta and Jeanne Pellegrino.
Carron exhibited at several venues in Clay County and in Jacksonville, FL. Exhibition Record includes: solo show, Orange Park Library, Jewish Community Alliance, and frequently exhibits her Pastel drawings through local visual art groups. Carron was honored to receive the title of Senior Female Volunteer of the Year for 2012 by the Clay County Council on Aging. Carron continues to be involved in volunteer activities that bring art to the community.
